About Us
History
Universitas Indonesia Women in Business (UIWIB) is a community initiated by women at Universitas Indonesia (UI), for women at UI and the wider society. Our mission is to provide female students with a deeper understanding of diverse career opportunities, while also raising awareness of gender-related issues that affect women in the professional world.
At UIWIB, we are guided by three core values: Empower, Connect, and Grow. We aim to empower women at UI through career and gender education, helping them face real-world challenges and emphasizing that gender should not be a barrier to achieving their dreams. We strive to connect like-minded women by creating spaces to learn together, while building strong bridges between current students and UI alumni through various activities and mentorship opportunities. We are committed to developing our members personally and professionally by designing programs that hone their skills, expand their networks, and prepare them to enter the workforce with confidence.
Through our initiatives, we hope that every woman who joins UIWIB will gain meaningful insight, practical skills, and ongoing support that empowers them not only at UI, but also throughout their careers and lives.
Our Vision and Mission
To Empower, our goal is to amplify UIWIB’s presence among university students across Indonesia, with a strong focus on UI students. This can be achieved by maintaining clear performance indicators, consistently delivering initiatives that are relevant and appropriate to student needs, and opening up more opportunities for external parties to participate in our community efforts. Ultimately, this approach aims to ensure UIWIB's long-term sustainability and relevance in a rapidly evolving environment-especially in a time of declining interest in student-led communities.
